Life is precious
God's mercies endure forever. He is the ultimate Comforter and Peace-giver. Jeremiah David went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 24 2010. We won't be able to see or enjoy him in this lifetime, but he is in heaven with our Lord and never had to suffer the cruelties of this world. I am comforted in knowing that we will see him one day in paradise!

Field Trip!

After we saw the statue we all went to the museum and had lunch. It was a beautiful day out!
It took maybe 2-3 hours to get through the museum, I think the most fun part of it was getting caught in the rain! it was poring for a few minutes and we got really wet! :) We all had fun!

Moving Along

I (Megan) am very excited! Only about a week & a half before we leave & move to North Carolina! God has been so good to us. He has provided a home w/ acreage that is only about 30 minutes from our new church! (the church Scott Brown from Vision Forum pastors at) Our new home is 3 bedroom & 1 bath, about 12 acres, 12 or so miles of trails (oh yes!) and a barn that was converted into an apartment! Aaron plans to rent the apartment for himself, and it will also serve as a place for when we have out of town guests! (which I'm sure will happen)
We will begin a family garden, and are hoping to be able to plant more than we need so that we can sell some at the Raleigh Farmers Market. We will be getting some chickens for meat & eggs (we also plan to sell eggs at the farmers market) & some English Angora Rabbits for their wool to spin & make into yarn which we will also sell. (or create something & sell that) We plan to use the land God has provided for us to help support our family :)
We plan to leave on April 25th! (so soon, but some days it's not soon enough) We have our moving truck (yes, we bought one! lol!) about 3/4 packed, and I pray we can fit whats left inside...So things have been slimming down, but there still seems like there is so much left to pack & get on the truck! I'm sure we'll be able to get it all in, but it'll be close, no doubt. But
Daddy is a phenomenal truck packer, so it'll fit ;) (he's had YEARS of experience)

I have a picture posted on my blog of the house. We will get more pictures after we move! (but I'm not sure how soon we'll be able to post them since we need to figure out what we'll do for internet...No high speed there..)
Another great blessing is that God has provided a horse for Emily once we get there! I'll let her share her info on it in another post. :)
Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers!

Creative Bookshelf Idea
"...how would you feel about using your books as bookshelves? One of my favorite women took books which had family history/sentimental value and turned them into bookshelves by laying the books on their sides, stacking them on top of one another, and then laying a painted/fabric covered MDF board horizontally. Thus, the books became the sides of the shelves. I cannot even begin to describe how cozy this looked! we have done it with my husband's study books simply by using reference books he rarely needs (but still wants to keep) as the "sides." That corner of the living room, which used to be quite the eyesore, due to the crazy piles and willy-nilly stacks, now gets several compliments.
Otherwise, my daughter purchased many of her Nancy Drew books from collectors such as yourself. She preferred the original bindings and covers for an "antiqued" look."
Isn't that SO creative?? I would love to have a picture of that! Great idea!
Blessings,
Cathy

Somebunnies bunny!
Today Aaron helped Liana & Lydia make some little sock bunnies! We saw the craft in the March 2010 issue of the Family Fun Magazine. Megan bloged about it at her blog. :)

Double Oven!

We have an oven...a DOUBLE oven! We are so excited! We found it on Craigslist for only $150. It is a GE Profile series, convection oven!! It also has a "proof" setting for bread, but it doesn't seem to work. I may have to do something to program it...We'll have to play around with that.

Satin in Training

Satin is doing well in his training. I have been doing Parelli Natural Horsemanship with him and it is so much fun to see how fast he is learning! There's 7 games horses play with each other. #1The Friendly Game, #2Porcupine Game, #3Driving Game, #4Yo Yo Game, #5Circling Game, #6 Sideways Game, and #7 Squeeze Game so far we are on game 5 .
Satin used to not wont to do anything with you and just wanted to be wild. He didn't respect you space and walked all over you and bolted when you take the halter off, I didn't trust him around anybody else. Now he is doing so much better! Liana helps me feed him and Jack every night and I play with him as often as I can. My goal with him is just be a very good family horse for every one to enjoy! and I think he will, with a little time.
