About The Lemay Family:

Riley (“Valiant and brave”)
Langevin  (To carry on his great grandfather’s  family name)

Our newest family member Riley, is 2.  He is number 8 and our 4th “reversal baby”.  He was born at home, about 30 seconds before the midwife arrived!!  He is truly a joy!  His adorable smiles and giggles delight us all!  He is learning to walk on his own and has 4 teeth so far.  It is our prayer, as his parents, to train him in righteousness, and that he will one day receive Jesus Christ as his personal savior and valiantly serve the LORD!

Jaden  (“God has heard”)
Ruben (“Behold a son”)
Jaden is 4.  He is number 7 and our 3rd “reversal baby”.  Jaden likes to work with Daddy.  He dons his tool belt and “makes” things.  He is also a “motor head”.  He just loves cars and anything that goes “Vroom!”  He loves to play outdoors as well.  He has quite a great imagination for such a young guy and likes to pretend and build with LEGOS.  However, his manly pursuits never get in the way of his more sensitive side.  He loves to cuddle, read books together, help cook..er eat while he helps cook… and give his Mommy a smooch now and then! He’s just a great little guy!  He likes to eat just about anything, so no favorites.  We hope to train him to be a strong man of God.  We pray that he will one day serve the Lord!

Lydia (“From Lydia, Greece” Lydia in the Bible worshiped God- Acts 16:14)
Grace (“God’s Favor”)
Lydia is our petite, feminine, and spunky little 6 year old!  She is number 6 and our 2nd “reversal baby”.  We will often hear her laughing like crazy…all by herself with no one around!  Just cracking up!  Not sure why, but it is fun to listen to!  :0) She loves to play house and have tea parties with her big sisters.  She loves to garden and bake.  She is very cuddly.  She has a very sweet, joyful spirit.  Her favorite food is our homemade pizza...cheese pizza!  Her future goals are to be a wife and mommy.  It is our sincere prayer that the Lord will become her true joy and that she will indeed worship Him in all truth and grace!

Liana (“God has answered”)
Desiree (“My desire”)

Liana is 8 and shares a birthday with Daddy.  She is number 5 and holds a very special role as our very first “reversal baby”!  She truly is an answer to our prayers!!  (read our reversal story) She likes to watch movies, garden, draw horses, dress up and have tea parties with her big sisters.  She is in first grade and loves to learn.  Her favorite subject (so far) is Math, but she is doing great at learning to read as well.  She has a beautiful voice and loves to sing.   She has a very active mind and likes to always be engaged in some sort of activity.  She loves golden retrievers and hopes to have her own one day.  Her favorite food is Chicken Tetrazzini.  Her future plans are to be a mommy and a wife…and maybe an artist.  We rejoice that she has received Jesus as her personal savior! We pray that she will be a light in this dark world!

Caley (“Brave warrior” )
Danielle (“God is my judge”)

Caley is 16 years old and number 4.  She is blossoming into a beautiful young woman both inside and out.   She has a very bright personality, and is a very outgoing and cheerful gal. She is gifted with an artistic eye.  She enjoys photography, gardening, telling jokes and riddles, and singing. She is very funny and makes us chuckle every day!  She enjoys baking and keeping our home orderly.   She never wants to be, what she calls, a “boring teenager”, so she faithfully plays and has creative fun with the little ones.  She loves the outdoors and gets spontaneous urges to just RUN!  So you might just find her doing laps either inside or out!  She is always quoting funny and quirky lines from various movies.  She loves to sing hymns, gospel, and contemporary songs with big sister Emily.  She also enjoys history and her two favorite eras are the Civil War and WWII.  Her favorite foods are Beef Tips With Gravy and Chicken Primavera.  Her future goals are to test for her learner’s driving permit, one day to be a virtuous wife and mother. We rejoice that she has dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and look forward to watching the Lord use her talents to serve Him!

Emily (“Industrious/Creative”)
Faith (“Belief and trust in God”)

Emily is 19. In Jan 20 married the man of her dreams, Ben Nieman.  Her husband is a mechanic and farmer, and they live in the tiny town of Britt Iowa. We have such joy knowing they walk in the truth of God’s word. Emily holds the #3 position in our family.  She has lived up to her name’s meaning and is quickly becoming a Proverbs 31 woman.  Her talents and abilities are vast and make us wonder how one person can be so talented!  She has taught herself to knit, crochet, tat (lace making), sew, and play the guitar, banjo, piano, harmonica and violin, bread making, gardening, and her all time favorite…Parelli natural horsemanship. Phew!  Her hands are never idle. She loves the outdoors and whenever she has the chance, works alongside her husband with farming. She is sweet and funny, but more on the quite side. Her gentle spirit is refreshing to be around.  Her favorite foods are apples and Beef Tips and GravyShe loves singing hymns and gospel songs with her sister Caley, especially the harmony parts. She also enjoys classical, country, and bluegrass music.

Megan (“Pearl”)
Rachel (“Innocent Lamb”)

Megan is 21 and number 2 in the lineup.  In June 2011, she married John Pedersen. They have two precious little boys, James and Ezra.  Megan busies herself as a keeper of the home, sewing dresses for 18” dolls to sell on her online store The Legacy Doll Shoppe, baking, and making John a happy home.  When John isn’t busy with his thriving remodeling business, Anthony Renard Remodeling, he finds time to renovate their home, and read.  They both participate in local Folk dancing events and hope to include their growing family in this activity.  They are active members of their church.  John is faithful at making Christ the center of their home and it is their greatest desire to raise godly children.  They are off to a great start, and we look forward seeing how the Lord grows this new family into His likeness.

Aaron (“Enlightened”)
Seth (“One who has been appointed”)

Aaron, 23, is the leader of the pack.  He is soft spoken and generally a man of few words.  He is an avid reader, enjoys a variety of different music, playing the piano, and photography.  He has an extensive LEGO collection that he generously shares with his little brother and sisters.  He is our “go to guy” when we need help with the computer or if we have media to design or format.   He is a fantastic artist and is a student at The Art Institute of Houston working towards a BA in Art Media and Animation and has earned numerous accolades in school for excelling in his studies.  Being an artist, he likes to stay up late and sleep in the next day...I guess he is more creative at night. His favorite food is pizza.  His future goals are to get into digital film making, become an animator, and even eventually be part of Disney or Pixar Animation studios. We pray that he can make a positive impression on the world through his God given talent.

 Mathieu and Cathy

We have been married for over 24 years now! Wow…time flies when you’re having fun!  We are delighted and truly humbled that the Lord would entrust such precious gifts to us; our 8 amazing children!  (Four of which are “reversal babies”!  Read our story.) Our family has grown to include a new son in law and a new grandson!!  We pray, as we support our adult children as they raise their children, that we will see the day that their children will also choose to be faithful to our Lord.  We desire a godly heritage.

Mathieu has an easy going and optimistic approach to life.  He enjoys renovating our home, playing the accordion, inventing, and best of all, playing with the children the Lord has so graciously given us.  He always has a quick witted comment ready for the unsuspecting prospect, and loves to find humor in life’s often too serious rut. He was blessed with the 6th sense. (The sense of HUMOR!)   Integrity and honesty are highly valued character traits by Mathieu, and both are evident in his personal and his business dealings.  He is a licensed Master Electrician, but wants to be a paid inventor when he grows up.  He is a self employed electrician located in Houston, TX.  His favorite food is Stuffed Peppers and ice cream for dessert! His future plans involve finding a way to use his skills and talents for the Lord and to free his time up in order to have more time to be with the family.  He wants to become the spiritual leader that the Lord requires of him.

Cathy is outgoing and cheerful.  She delights in serving her husband and family.  She homeschools the children, enjoys reading and singing.  She has written a few songs, 3 of which are copyrighted.  She loves to decorate and make her home feel comfortable and pretty.  She and Mathieu both enjoy serving others through hospitality and supporting other families in their family ministry.   She looks forward to adding new grandbabies to the mix!  Though she fails at times, her sole desire is to serve the Lord and honor Him in all she says and does.

Grandma (Phyllis) and Grandpa (Paul) Caley

In the summer 2011, Cathy’s parents came to live with us.  Paul is a retired Reformed Church in America pastor.  Though he is retired, he continues to support and encourage young men in leadership/pastoral roles.  When he moved to Houston, he closed down his thriving computer repair business.  He still services our computers, of course, and we are spoiled having a repair man right under our own roof!  He enjoys all of the good cooking the girls do, but somehow keeps trim.  He is a big help for Mathieu by handling some of the home repairs, running errands, handling some office paperwork, and best of all, offering godly counsel and prayer.

Phyllis is a retired elementary school teacher.  She is an avid reader, enjoys wordsearch puzzles and spending time with her doggie, Muffy.  She enjoys keeping up with the world’s news, and keeps us up to date as well.  She loves anything chocolate.  This December she had heart valve replacement/triple heart bi-pass surgery.  She graciously endured some setbacks, and even had to be in the hospital over Christmas.  We are grateful to the Lord for allowing us more time together!  Her future includes cherishing each moment she has with her family. She is a huge prayer warrior and it is something we truly appreciate!

We are honored and humbled to have them live with us and impart to us their many years of wisdom.  We have much to learn.
